The MacBook Air 13-inch (M2, 2022) was Apple's first full redesign of the Air line in over a decade, replacing the tapered wedge shape with a flat, uniform-thickness chassis. Inside is the Apple M2 chip, an 8-core CPU (4 performance + 4 efficiency cores) paired with an 8 or 10-core GPU depending on configuration.
Apple offers 8GB, 16GB, or 24GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage, all behind a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display (2560x1664) rated at 500 nits — noticeably brighter than the previous-generation Air. A 52.6Wh battery backs Apple's "up to 18 hours" video-playback claim.
At 1.24 kg and fanless, the M2 MacBook Air runs silent under normal workloads. Pricing launched at $1,199 for the base 8GB/256GB configuration.
